In a 1985 “30th Anniversary” tribute to 95 KIMN Radio, Radio and Records magazine explained KIMN’s “Sky Fire” July 4th fireworks show:

“Drawing nearly 200,000 viewers each year, KIMN’s creation of “Sky Fire” has been duplicated in many cities across America each Fourth Of July.

Listeners are astounded as thousands of dollars of the finest fireworks are launched and choreographed to rock music. “

The soundtrack for the fireworks was played on 95 KIMN, so everyone could hear it watching the fireworks near or far.
